Thank you very much for your interest in Sara Clement Photography. My primary focus is currently wedding photography in the Berkshires, but I also specialize in family portraits, pet photography, band photography, actor headshots, etc. My pricing is for the photography iteself, not for overly expensive reprint and enlargement fees. Please contact me for a price quote on any type of photography excluding weddings. The pricing for weddings is listed below. I price my wedding photography a bit differently than other photographers. My fees usually include, but are not limited to the following: multiple (if necessary) consultation meetings with the client; attending and photographing the wedding rehearsal if requested; my time actually photographing the wedding; any expenses I might have including (but not limited to) hiring a photo assistant; posting the photos to my website so that the wedding guests can view the photos as well as have the option to order prints; all of the editing, color correction and retouching time required to make the photos reach my standards. I find that since most of my clients prefer to have the freedom to make the prints themselves at their discretion, I give high resolution photographic CD's with full copyright release, and I do not charge for preset albums, proofs or enlargements, although I am happy to provide my wedding clients assistance with these matters. Also, I find that the work involved greatly depends on the timeline of the day as well as on the specific circumstances of the wedidng. Every wedding is different, and not everyone wants photos of the same things. Therefore I chargre for weddings a la carte, and so a wedding paackage is made up of whatever custom options the clients prefer. The a la carete pricing and options are as follows:
*GETTING READY/PRE-CREMONY PHOTOS - $200.00 (Any photos taken before the wedding, espeically of the bridal party getting ready)
*CEREMONY PHOTOS - $350.00 (Includes ceremony as well as receiving line photos)
*FORMALS - $450.00 (Two different locations for the formal photography, as well as extensive retouching and color correction included. Please note, there is an extra fee of $100.00 for more than two different formals locations, as well as fee of $50.00 extra if the total bridal party consists of more than ten people.)
*RECEPTION, Part One - $300.00 (Includes: cake cutting, flower toss, first dances, etc.)
*RECEPTION, Part Two - $200.00 (Includes: more candids and dancing photos, and staying for the majority of the reception)
OR GET THE ENTIRE PACKAGE FOR $1400 AND SAVE $100!
I am unique from other wedding photographers not just in the style of pricing, but in other ways as well. I really try to be as unobtrusive as possible. I feel that I am there to capture moments and record the events of the day, not alter them or change them unnecessarily with my actions. Also, if you just prefer a photographer to take a couple hundred photos, burn them straight to CD's with no retouching, editing, color correction or B&W conversion, and just want them to receive them in a couple of weeks after the event, then there are a couple of great photographers who I can recommend for that. I do not have the personality to do this type of work, however. I am extremely detail oriented and sentimental, and am committed to making your photos (as well as the photos of all of the other weddings that I take for other clients) look the absolute best that they can. I also seem to take many more photos than other photographers, and edit out less. Most photographers give you 400 photos and under, whereas for an average weding I'll give the client anywhere between 800-1800 photos, not including the hundreds that my assistants take. A project of this scale is a huge undertaking. Working on this many photos this carefully requires hours of editing and color correction. Most people would not believe the amount of time that I spend working on wedding photos. I am trying to capture moments that hopefully your children and great grandchildren will cherish for many years to come, so accomplishing this goal takes longer. While I always try to keep my clients updated with my progress and give them whatever I have done in stages as I go along, please bear in mind that it usually takes me between 2-5 months to complete the average wedding job. True, you have to wait a little longer initially, but I think the final product that you will have to treasure for the rest of your life far exceeds this delay. If you have any other questions concerning the type of work that I do, please do not hesitate to email me or call me. Thanks again for your interest in my photography, and please refer to my website for hundreds (or thousands!) of examples of the type of photos that I take.
